Julia Klatt Singer

Before she understood

the power of a name, the proper use

for nouns (love), for verbs (to tend, to fathom)

There was sunlight scattered amongst the leaves,

The delicate balance between night and despair,

Between morning and rapture.

Trouble is, she canít resist a snake,

or the weightlessness, canít stop herself

from wanting his name on her lips.

Believes in the fruit of their labor, and in

his hands; everything within their reach.

Eden, is up to them. Limb by limb, she begins.
